Eastern Treatment Plant & Additional Aeration Tanks Tenix Alliance
Construction of four new aeration tanks (4 x 50m x 100m ) alongside six existing tanks. Associated sewage channels (mixed liquor, settled sewage and RAS),inlet and outlet structures. Installation of all pumps, aeration pipe work and mechanical equipment (mixers, foam harvesters and penstocks), diffusers and electrical controls. The additional tanks are required to meet a 90th percentile ammonia target of <10 mg/L that applies from 1 July 2010.
Eastern Treatment Plant – Odour Control Facility – John Holland Construction of five Biofilters and associated pipe work, (various ductwork 900-2100 diameter and supports) shaft 8.0m depth ( tie ductwork into existing ) 2 stage humidifier slabs and structures with associated ductwork and supports. Electrical SAP building, concrete works, precast panels and electrical conduits media stockpile structure 1W, 3W, 4W, leachate drainage and electrical (underground services).
The odour control facility is required to treat the foul air from the primary treatment area which is considered to be the highest odour source in the Plant.
